"We arrived when the restaurant opened and within minutes all tables were occupied. The place to have lunch in Genoa. Everything is good, especially the meatballs and pesto lasagne. The outside square is welcoming refreshing with its shade from the tall surrounding buildings."

"Hidden gem basic trattoria in the centre of Genoa. Staple dishes with real flavour and big portions! The best is the incredibly reasonable prices. Take away options too."

"Best food experience this weekend spanning Genova Nice and Monaco. FOOD: the pesto lasagna and minestrone soup ever. Full of flavor and exceed our expectation. Octopus salad and fried shrimp&calamari were excellent. Can't go wrong with food here. They gave us taste of baccala, and that was out of this world. Would've order if we haven't already ordered four dishes. LOCATION: it is tricky to find this place with Google map since it is along the alley. But Google will get you close enough. Don't give up, it's worth it. PRICE: four dishes for €30. Not bad in my opinion. SERVICE: fantastic service and very friendly. Assuming this is family owned and ran. Even meet the father. Loved everything. OVERALL: when I comeback to Genova, I will stop here for meal. The place is worth a second visit."

"A bit hard to find, but a very nice introduction to Ligurian cuisine. Big portions and affordable price. Calamari tasted great, crispy skin and nicely seasoned."

"The service was good and swift. We ordered a lasagne with pesto, cuttlefish with peas (seppi con piselli) and fried calamari. The lasagne has a good balance of both cheese and pesto, the sauce of seppi was sooo fragrant and they both go very well with the freshly baked buns. The fried calamari was fresh and well fried - hot in demand order! I would love to eat this every day!"

"THE SPOT IN GENOVA! Gorgeous street food worth standing in line for. Sitting out in the small square with a drink and heavenly food is how you should be spending your Genova vacation :) The meatballs looked so good it was impossible not to order them. And they were juicy, delicious, swimming in rich savoury tomato sauce. Incredible. Then both the lasagnas are splendid, thick with filling and well-portioned. We also had some squid to start and you can’t go wrong with that. Bonus points, the bread was warmed up and was delectable. Best meal in Genova so far!"

"If you want to taste the real cuisine of this city, then you are here! It will not be like in a restaurant, you have to stand in line and bring your own plastic plates, you can choose a table yourself. But it's worth it! All people are polite and nice. We ordered 4 dishes and paid 26 €!!! In one place you need to order drinks, and in the other take food, do not get confused! I like fancy restaurants, BUT highly recommend this local place"
